 Slipknot and Metal

Does anyone here believe Slipknot is Metal? A lot of people say that they aren't but they are the heaviest band that I have ever heard. I definitely think they are Metal. What do you guys think?

In a way Slipknot is metal, but in a way they are not Metal. I don't know it's a little different and hard to explain.
